Flanders is the political community of the Flemings. It is also a geographical region located in parts of present-day Belgium, France, and the Netherlands. Flanders has (or, at least, had) its own Quidditch team. The team played against Transylvania in 1473 at the first Quidditch World Cup, reaching the final.
Behind the scenes
- Even though Flanders is seemingly presented in canon as an independent country due to its participation in the 1473 Quidditch World Cup, historically, it was at the time the County of Flanders, an area under French suzerainty ruled by Charles the Bold of the House of Valois-Burgundy.
