Flagrate conjures a burning, fiery rope in the air, which can be directed in any shape or direction the caster chooses. A mark will linger as well and fade with time.
Known uses
- In 1993, Tom Riddle's memory used the spell non-verbally when spelling his name to Harry Potter in the Chamber of Secrets. He could also rearrange the letters by waving his wand.
- Hermione Granger used this spell to mark doors with an "X" in the Department of Mysteries in 1996.
