The wand of Filius Flitwick was of unknown length, wood and core material.[1][2]
History[]
Like most wizards and witches in Great Britain, he may have purchased it at the age of eleven at Ollivanders before beginning his education at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.
In December 1991, Flitwick used this wand to decorate Christmas trees with golden bubbles.[1]
In March of 1996, Flitwick used this wand to cast a Locomotion Charm on Sybill Trelawney's two trunks and help escort her back into the castle after Dolores Umbridge fired her.[2]
He was able to perform outstanding magic with his wand such as performing advanced charms,[3] and duelling many wizards in his time.[4][5]
It had an angular cross-shaped handle and was made of a light wood with a deep brown tint toward the end.
Behind the scenes[]
- It is possible that the wand was also used as a baton at the Choir practises.
- In the first two films, Flitwick's wand had a very different design. The original prop was almost identical to Cornelius Fudge's wand.
