The date of birth is incorrect, it is stated as july 12th, 1214 but this date contradicts with information given to us by JKR herself. On Pottermore, in the article "The Potter Family" it reads: "The wizarding family of Potters descends from the twelfth-century wizard Linfred of Stinchcombe". Key here is 12th century. The eldest son of Linfred is Harwin Potter, who marries Iolanthe Peverell, granddaughter of Ignotus Peverell. That makes Ignotus (one generation) older than Linfred of Stinchcombe. Linfred is born in the 12th century, and Ignotus is older than him so Ignotus can not possible be born in the 13the century, as it is stated in this article. It should need no discussion that written texts by JKR take precedence over movieprops.
This ofcourse means that any date derived from this (like the date of birth from his brothers) is also incorrect and should be edited out everywhere on this site.
