Ronald N. "Ron" Perlman (born 13 April, 1950) is an American actor who portrays Gnarlak in Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them.

Perlman is perhaps best known for playing the titular character of the Guillermo Del Toro-directed Hellboy films. He has a long history of characters in heavy make-up, dating back to Vincent the 'lion-man' in the 1980s TV series of Beauty and the Beast, and more recently was one of the leads on the first five seasons of Sons of Anarchy.
