A bun is a small bread roll, often sweetened or spiced and sometimes containing dried fruit. It is also a tight roll of hair worn at the back of the head.

History[]

On 1 November 1981, at noon, Vernon Dursley walked across the road from his working place to buy a bun from the baker's.^[1]

Behind the scenes[]

In the Polish translation in the first chapter of the first book it is replaced as "bun with raisins" ("bułka z rodzynkami").
