A bun is a small bread roll, often sweetened or spiced and sometimes containing dried fruit. It is also a tight roll of hair worn at the back of the head.

On 1 November 1981, at noon, Vernon Dursley walked across the road from his working place to buy a bun from the baker's.[1]
