Rowan Khanna read about Hogsmeade village in this book, prior to physically visiting the village during the 1986–1987 school year.[1]
Harry Potter, Ron Weasley, and Hermione Granger consulted this book in the 1991–1992 school year while searching for information on Nicolas Flamel.[3] They did not find any information about him in the book and later realised that, as Flamel was over six hundred years old, this and the other books they consulted were unlikely sources of information.[2] The other books they looked in were Great Wizards of the Twentieth Century, Important Modern Magical Discoveries, and A Study of Recent Developments in Wizardry.
