The northern lights (Latin: Aurora, meaning "sunrise" and Borealis, meaning "northern")[1] are a natural light display in the sky particularly in the high latitude regions, caused by the collision of energetic charged particles with atoms in the high altitude atmosphere.[2]
Northern lights could be seen in the sky above the Nordic National Quidditch Stadium, somewhere in the snowy glacier-areas of Scandinavia.[3]
