- "Harry had never been to a wedding before, so he could not judge how Wizarding celebrations differed from Muggle ones, though he was pretty sure that the latter would not involve a wedding cake topped with two model phoenixes that took flight when the cake was cut, or bottles of champagne that floated unsupported through the crowd."
- — Description[src]
Champagne is a sparkling white wine produced by the second fermentation of wine.
History[]
In 1927, Newton Scamander kept a bottle of champagne in his house. One night, after he managed to catch the baby Nifflers that had escaped, the one he still needed to catch opened a bottle of champagne and was propelled into the air, allowing Newt to catch it.[1]
There were bottles of champagne floating unsupported at Fleur and Bill Weasley's wedding in 1997.[2] Elphias Doge seemed to like champagne,[3] and poured Harry Potter a goblet when the latter joined him at the wedding.[2]
