Fenwick was the surname of a British wizarding family. There was also one known Muggle with the surname Fenwick, but whether he was related to the wizarding family of the same name is unknown.

Fenwick is an English and Scottish habatational surname derived from the name of any of several villages (two in Northumberland, one in West Yorkshire, and one in Ayrshire, Scotland), from Old English fenn, "marsh," and wic, "dairy farm."[5][6]
