[edit] Biography
In 1992, Fang accompanies Ron Weasley and Harry to visit Aragog. Later in that year, Harry and Ron take care of Fang when Hagrid is sent to Azkaban. In 1996, he is injured while Hagrid is attacked by Ministry of Magic wizards. Hagrid then brings Fang with him when he escapes. When Hagrid's hut gets lit on fire in 1997, Fang is trapped inside but is then rescued.
Fang's final appearance is in 1998 where he participates in The Battle of Hogwarts alongside his owner Hagrid.
[edit] Personality and Traits
He is a large black dog who slobbers constantly. He once completely soaked Harry Potter's robes while laying his head on Harry's knee. When someone enters Hagrid's hut, he will greet them with loud, booming barks and almost always a sound licking on either their faces or ears. He is very protective of Hagrid but is a "bloody coward".

- In the books, Fang is said to be a boarhound, or Great Dane. In the movies, Fang is portrayed by a Neapolitan Mastiff, a very different breed, though one that was also used against boars.
