Mr Evans (d. 1 September, 1971 – 31 October, 1981) was a Muggle, married to Mrs Evans. He had two daughters, Petunia and Lily Evans. The family lived in Cokeworth England near the home of the dysfunctional Snape family. He also had two grandsons Dudley Dursley and Harry Potter, through his daughters' marriages to Vernon Dursley and James Potter.

Biography

While Petunia was a Muggle like her parents, Lily was a Muggle-born witch and enjoyed the Wizarding world, something Mr Evans and Mrs Evans were very proud of. Petunia, on the other hand, was jealous and considered her sister a "freak". Mr and Mrs Evans suffered a normal Muggle death, though the exact cause is unknown; it was sometime before the murder of their younger daughter in 1981.

Through his elder daughter, they are related to the Muggle Dursley family, and through the younger, to the wizarding Potter and Weasley families.

Both died sometime between 31 July, 1971 and 31 October, 1981.

Death

Mr Evans died sometime between September 1, 1971 and October 31, 1981 from a normal Muggle death, although the exact cause is unknown. It is unknown if he died by the time his daughters were married, but was most likely dead by the time his grandsons were born.

Mr Evans and his wife most likely had a good marriage before their deaths. Like his wife, Mr Evans was extremely proud of their youngest daughter, Lily, and was slightly in awe of her magical abilities. However, this made Petunia feel left out and jealous of her sister. Mr Evans's relationship with oldest daughter Petunia may have been good, but he and his wife favoured Lily because of her magical abilities and she felt left out. Mr Evans never got to meet his grandsons Dudley and Harry.
