Euro-Glyph School of Extraordinary Languages was an international wizarding language school focusing on obscure magical languages, such as hieroglyphs. There were Euro-Glyph schools in London, Leeds, Montreal, Nairobi, Santiago and Caracas.[1]

In the late 1990s, they ran an advert in the Daily Prophet.[1]

Behind the scenes

  • It is possible you can attend this school to learn to speak languages such as Gobbledegook and Mermish. Albus Dumbledore was able to speak both languages.
  • Dumbledore is also able, if not to speak, then at least to understand, Parseltongue when spoken. Although it seems unlikely, it is possible one can learn the language of the serpents on the school, as Dumbledore must have picked it up somwhere, and that Parsletounge indeed is a extraordinary language. Although, if this was the case, it is highly unlikely that many would attend the class, due to its dark reputation and connection to the Dark Arts.
  • Due to his ability to talk a waste amount of languages, it is possible that Barty Crouch Sr. attended this school prior to becoming the Head of the Department of International Magical Cooperation. However, this is not confirmed.
