Professor Pomona Sprout assigned her fifth-year students in 1995 an essay on self-fertilising shrubs. [1] Using Neville Longbottom's copy of Flesh-Eating Trees of the World, Harry Potter, Ronald Weasley, and Hermione Granger's essays were deemed "excellent," with "superb diagrams" by the teacher.[2]
