Eric Whalley was a Muggle orphan, living in Wool's Orphanage, in London, as well as Tom Marvolo Riddle. At the time Tom was eleven, Eric and Billy Stubbs had the chicken pox and were being cared for by Martha. There are no more information about him, as his surname was only mentioned by Mrs Cole in 1938.

EtymologyEdit

The name "Eric" is from the Old Norse name Eiríkr, derived from the elements ei, meaning "ever" and ríkr, meaning "ruler".
