Eeylops Owl Emporium was a chain[1] of shops that sold owls and supplies, such as food, necessary to care for them. It had three locations in Glasgow, Leeds, and London.[1]

Eeylops Owl Emporium in Diagon Alley.

The London store was located at 521 Diagon Alley,[2] on the North Side of Diagon Alley. It was described as being relatively small, and dark inside, probably because owls are nocturnal creatures. On the outside of the shop, many different colours and species of owls hung in cages, watching all of the passersby.

Rubeus Hagrid bought Harry Potter his pet owl, Hedwig, as a birthday present from this Eeylops location when Harry visited Diagon Alley for the first time on 31 July 1991.[3]

In August 1996 Harry Potter and Ron Weasley bought large boxes of owl nuts at Eeylops Owl Emporium for Hedwig and Pigwidgeon respectively.[4]
