Edith Nesbit (15 August 1858 – 4 May 1924) was a Muggle author who wrote E. Nesbit's Fairy Tales and Tails.
Etymology
The name "Edith" comes from the Old English name Eadgyð, derived from the elements ead "rich, blessed" and gyð "war".
