An eclipse is an astronomical event that occurs when a celestial body is temporarily obscured, either by passing into the shadow of another body, or by having another body pass between it and the viewer.^[1]

The Daily Prophet once reported on an eclipse that was predicted to occur between 3 December and 7 December in an unknown year.^[2]
