The '''East Wing''' is a large hall located on the sixth floor of [[Hogwarts Castle]]. There is a huge fireplace in the center of the room and some portraits hung on the walls. There are portraits of [[Damara Dodderidge]], [[Termeritus Shanks]] and [[Eoessa Sakndenberg]], among others in this room. There are various suits of armour, which guard the room after the sun goes down. The entrance is located on the [[Glanmore Peakes' Corridor]] and it has an entryway to the room [[Fred and George Weasley]] hid the [[Marauder's Map]]. On the first night of the [[1993–1994 school year]], [[Professor]] [[Severus Snape]], the [[Potions master]], patrolled the Wing, but [[Harry Potter]] still managed to sneak past.
