East 73rd Street was a street in the New York City borough of Manhattan.
Charles Dana Gibson had a house located on this street.[1][2][3] When former French prime minister Georges Clemenceau came to the the United States to deliver a talk on 6 December 1926, he holed himself away on the upper floor of Gibson's house in order to prepare for his speech.[2][3] Many admirers flocked to the house, hoping to secure interviews or autographs, but only a reporter for the New York Chronicle was granted access.[2][3]
