"Thus far, no political group has stepped forward to claim responsibility for the attack, though both Spanish Liberation group ETA and Islamic Fundamentalist Cell Al-Hiraza have been implicated."
Jamie Wolpert, "Bridge disaster hits London" in The Guardian (July, 1996).[src]

ETA (Euskadi Ta Askatasuna ; Basque: "Basque Homeland and Freedom") is an armed Basque nationalist and separatist organisation, proscribed as a terrorist organization by many States.

After the Millennium Bridge disaster, The Guardian reported that ETA, along with Islamic fundamentalist cell Al-Hiraza, had been implicated. In reality, though, the incident was perpetrated by a group of Death Eaters led by Fenrir Greyback.[1]
