The Dursley family possessed a toilet on the upper floor of their home at 4 Privet Drive.[1]
History[]
In 1991, Dudley Dursley noted to Harry Potter that they stuff people's heads in toilets on their first day at Stonewall High, the Muggle high school that Harry was slated to attend. He offered to help Harry "practise" by stuffing Harry's head in the upstairs toilet, but Harry turned Dudley's words, "Want to come upstairs and practise?" on him by replying "No, thanks. The poor toilet's never had anything as horrible as your head down it -- it might be sick." He then ran away before the slow-witted Dudley could work out his wordplay.[1]
In 1992, Harry was locked in his bedroom following the reveal that he couldn't use magic outside school. Every morning and evening, Uncle Vernon or Aunt Petunia let Harry out momentarily to use the toilet.[2]
In 1993, while Harry did his homework on Witch Burning he listened carefully for any signs that his cousin, aunt or uncle were on their way to the toilet, because he did not want them to catch him studying magic.[3]
