The Dungeon Pit was a dungeon at Hogwarts Castle, with a big hole in the middle. Three doors connect it to the Dungeon Corridor, the Slug Pit and the Deathday Party Hall.^[1]

In 1992, Peeves made the platforms to cross the pit disappear, and Harry Potter had to go to the Lever Rooms in order to put them back and go to Nicholas de Mimsy-Porpington's five-hundredth Deathday Party.
