Dragon heartstring

Dragon heartstring is a material from a dragon that can be used to comprise the core of a wand. It is unknown from which varieties of dragon the heartstrings are collected from, and what effect this difference makes on the abilites of the wand. Due to the heart being a vital organ in any creature, it can be assumed that the material is taken after the dragon has either died of natural causes or been killed. It is also unknown what quantity of string can be collected per heart. Despite it is not fully known what effects Drangon Heartstring cores have on wands, but it may be used to alter the power of spells, as some of the wands that proved exeptional feats posses Dragon Heartstring as a core, as Hermoine Granger could preform spells with it with greatest ease, even when untrained, and Bellatrix Lestrange was one of the most powerful duellists of her time.

In Ollivander's Wand Shop, the owner Ollivander is known to use dragon heartstrings as one of his three cores; the others are Unicorn hair and Phoenix feathers. Because Viktor Krum has a Dragon Heatstring wand, Gregorovitch can also use it, as Gregorovitch created Krum's wand.
