During the First Wizarding War, Dorcas became a member of the Order of the Phoenix, an organisation led and found by Albus Dumbledore, in order to oppose Lord Voldemort and his Death Eaters. She is presumed to have been a very powerful witch, as Alastor Moody made a point of saying that she was killed by Voldemort himself.

Notes and references
- ↑ Dorcas appeared in a photograph with Marlene McKinnon that was taken two weeks prior to Marlene's death in July 1981. This indicates Dorcas was alive in the summer of 1981 and must have been killed sometime between then and Voldemort's fall (31 October, 1981).
