Dorcas Meadowes (d. 1981) was a member of the Order of the Phoenix during the First Wizarding War. Before the end of the war, she was murdered by Lord Voldemort himself.
Biography
First Wizarding War
During the First Wizarding War, Dorcas became a member of the Order of the Phoenix, an organisation led and founded by Albus Dumbledore, in order to oppose Lord Voldemort and his Death Eaters. She is presumed to have been a very powerful witch, as Alastor Moody made a point of saying that she was killed by Voldemort.
Death
- "That’s Dorcas Meadowes, Voldemort killed her personally..."
- — Alastor Moody[src]
Dorcas was killed by Lord Voldemort sometime in the second half of 1981, along with many members of the Order.
In 1995, Mad-Eye Moody showed Harry Potter a group photo of the first Order of the Phoenix that included Dorcas.
