During the 1995–1996 school year, Defence Against the Dark Arts Professor Dolores Umbridge decorated the wall of her office with several ornamental plates depicting kittens. One of them had large blue eyes that reminded Harry Potter of Mad-Eye Moody.[1]
Behind the scenes
- In the film version of Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, one of the kittens leaves its plate through a door in the background and alerts Umbridge when Harry attempts to use her fireplace to contact Sirius Black. In the novel, Umbridge is alerted by Stealth Sensoring Spells placed on her office door.
