Dodie Smith (3 May 1896 - 24 November 1990) was a Muggle author who wrote I Capture the Castle.[1]

The real-life Dodie Smith was the author of I Capture the Castle, but is perhaps most well-known for her title The Hundred and One Dalmatians, which was also adapted as a popular Disney animated film in 1961, and again as a live-action film in 1998.
