"Dodgy" Dirk was a Muggle who lived in Ilfracombe. He witnessed the Ilfracombe Incident in 1932, when a Common Welsh Green dragon descended upon a crowded beach, but somehow managed to avoid the mass Memory Charm subsequently placed on most Muggle observers. For at least forty years afterward, "Dodgy" Dirk frequented bars along the south coast of England, talking about the day a "dirty great flying lizard" poked a hole in his lilo. Blenheim Stalk mentioned this in his 1972 book Muggles Who Notice.
