Diggory is the surname of a wizardingfamily. They live near Ottery St. Catchpole in Devon, England, and thus close to the Weasley (The Burrow), Lovegood, and Fawcett families.

Etymology
It is commonly believed that J. K. Rowling borrowed Diggory from Digory Kirke in C.S. Lewis's Narnia series, as he is said to be one of her favourite authors.
