The Diamond District was an area of Manhattan that ran the stretch of 47th Street between its intersections with Fifth Avenue and Sixth Avenue. The district received its name from its many jewellery shops.
While walking to Central Park through the Diamond District in 1926, Newt Scamander chanced upon his lost niffler pilfering the wares of the Voclain & Co. jewellery shop, leading him to break into the store to recapture it.
