Diagon Alley North Side was the northern part of Diagon Alley, comprised of the area closest to the Leaky Cauldron and, thus, closest to Charing Cross Road and Muggle London.

Commercial buildings line the two sides of the cobbled street, and among them stands an archway into the nearby Knockturn Alley. Several objects on display line the shopfronts, such as cauldrons, broomsticks and barrels, and hanging above them are signs bearing the names of the shops.

Walking along Diagon Alley North leads to the tall white main offices of Gringotts Wizarding Bank, and turning to the left leads to Diagon Alley South.

Behind the scenesEdit

  • Ever since Pottermore had its revamp on 31 July, 2013, the designations "Diagon Alley South Side" and "Diagon Alley North Side" were removed and replaced with "More Shops" and "Back to Shops", respectively. This change, however, only applied to the British English version of the site, with the American English version still using the North Side and South Side designations.
