The Department for Magical Security was a department of the Magical Congress of the United States of America responsible for protecting the American wizarding community. Some of the duties involved in the department is to help conceal magic from the No-Maj community.

History

By 1926, Percival Graves, an Auror, was Director of Magical Security. Percival was later impersonated by Gellert Grindelwald during the time when a great breach to the Statute of Secrecy happened. The Department of Magical Security had to protect witches and wizards from and cover up the damage made by the creatures that escaped Newton Scamander's suitcase and by Credence Barebone in Obscurial form, as well as remove the memories of any No-Maj who had witnessed it.[1]
