David Thewlis is the actor who portrays Remus Lupin in the Harry Potter films. His first appearance was in the film adaptation of Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban.

He lived with English actress Anna Friel with whom he has one child, a girl named Gracie. They broke up in late 2010 and now lives in Clerkenwell.
