The Dark Force Defence League is an organization against the Dark Arts. It may or may not be directly affiliated with the Ministry of Magic.
Gilderoy Lockhart claimed to be a member of this organization, but how he managed to function in it, with his inability to use magic competently, is unknown. He lost his membership when his Memory Charm backfired and erased much of his memories.
