Harry Potter saw a copy for sale at Flourish and Blotts in 1991 and was intrigued by the thought that it might help him to curse his cousin, Dudley Dursley. Hagrid dragged him away from it, telling him that he was not allowed to perform magic around Muggles, and that he was still too young to pull off such advanced spells.^[1]

It also can be found on the bench of Mirror of Erised.^[2]
