- "All right, Peeves, you've had your fun (snort). Now how can I get rid of this curse?"
- — Harry Potter while under the Curse of the Bogies[src]
There existed a counter-curse (incantation unknown) that cured the Curse of the Bogies, removing their cold. It was covered in the Updated Counter-Curse Handbook, Second Revised Edition.[1] It was unclear whether or not this spell was also able to cure mundane colds.
History[]
During the 1988–1989 school year at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, after Jacob's sibling cast the Curse of the Bogies on Ismelda Murk for practise, she told them she knew the counter-curse and possibly used it on herself when they weren't looking.[2]
Behind the scenes[]
- Given that every potion requires a spell to be cast at some point, It is also unknown whether this spell may be used to complete the Pepperup Potion, and can cure colds.
