A corgi is a medium-sized dog with short legs and fox-like features that originated in Wales.[2]
History[]
In September 1991, one of Queen Elizabeth II's corgis was transformed into a hamster by an unknown witch or wizard, prompting the Improper Use of Magic Office to investigate and interview several subjects.[1] Muggle authorities concluded that the corgi had been stolen and replaced with a hamster as a "cruel" prank.[1] They launched a "full scale" search in an unsuccessful attempt to locate the dog.[1] The incident was reported in the 6 September 1991 issue of the Daily Prophet.[1]
