Concordia and Plunkett Musical Instruments[1] was a music shop in Carkitt Market,[2] in the wizarding quarter of London. It specialised in bagpipes, harps, lutes and cellos.[1] It was located in the same building as Shutterbutton's Photography Studio and Gladrags Wizardwear.[1] Concordia and Plunkett published sheet music for The Ballad of Fingal the Fearless.[3]

Etymology[]

  • Concordia was the Roman goddess of harmony in marriage and society, which was metaphorically represented by musical harmony.
  • Plunkett is an Irish surname of Norman origin, perhaps most associated with the title of Baron Plunket (Plunket being a variant spelling of Plunkett).
