Circe was a Greek enchantress who lived on the island of Aeaea. She was an expert at transforming lost sailors into pigs.[1] There was a portrait of Circe hung at Hogwarts Castle, guarding a secret shortcut between the fourth-floor landing of the Grand Staircase and the Entrance Hall side room. The password required to gain access to said shortcut was Piggywiggy.[2]
