The christening of Harry Potter took place sometime between Harry's birth and his parents' murders. The ceremony was a very hurried, quiet affair with just his parents, James and Lily Potter; and Sirius Black, the godfather.[1]

- In LEGO Harry Potter: Years 1-4, Cornelius Fudge owns a photo of the ceremony, which is used to explain that Sirius is Harry's godfather. In the photo, contrary to Rowling's description, Peter Pettigrew was also present.
