A chocolate bar is a bar-shaped confection made with chocolate and various other ingredients such as milk and sugar.[3]
Muggle chocolate bar brands included Mars Bar[2] and Storeys.[4]
Wizards and witches also enjoyed eating chocolate bars, and they were sold at Honeydukes in Hogsmeade, Scotland.[1]
Remus Lupin gave Harry Potter a chocolate bar to revitalise him after he was attacked by a Dementor on the Hogwarts Express in 1993.[5] Lupin also had a bar in his office.
Behind the scenes[]
- "A slab of chocolate from Professor Lupin" was one out of the thirty-two options generated by an old feature[6] on Pottermore, "Wonderful wizarding world happiness generator", which was about things that could cast away the Blue Monday blues.[7]
- The description was "After a Dementor attack (or a miserable winter's day, in this situation), chocolate is called for – and Remus Lupin always had some ready. Fancy a block?".[8]
