A chipolata is a type of small, seasoned pork sausage that originated in Mexico. Chipolatas have become popular in Britain, where they are often served at Christmas dinner, wrapped in bacon.
Chipolatas were a part of the Christmas feast at Hogwarts. Albus Dumbledore seemed especially fond of them, and, at the Christmas feast in 1993, he offered some to a first-year student named Derek.
