These chessmaster and Professor wizards were famous chessmasters. They were appointed Headmasters of Hogwarts sometime before Armando Dippet.

Biography

Lifetime

These wizards were masters in Wizard's Chess. At some point in their life, they were appointed Headmasters of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry,^[2] either together or in separate tenures.

Post-mortem

After their deaths, their portrait was hung in the Headmaster's office, so they could give advice to the current Head. Their portrait hung over the fireplace, was considerably large and was framed in gold.^[2] Another portrait was hung in the Gryffindor Common room.
