A Cheering Charm is a spell which makes another person happy. When the spell is overdone, it can cause the victim to be overcome with fits of hysterical laughter. It was invented by Felix Summerbee.

Professor Flitwick taught Harry Potter and Ron Weasley the charm in Harry's third year. Hermione Granger missed it due to oversleeping.
In 1993, the third year students, including Harry, Ron and Hermione were tested on the Cheering Charm during their exams.
