This courtyard is an enclosed open area located at Hogwarts Castle, at the base of the central tower. It can be found in the centre of the building that contains the Viaduct Entrance. The courtyard can be seen from the First Floor Corridor (the part that leads from the Stone Bridge to the Tapestry Corridor).

Behind the scenesEdit

• When the filmmakers redesigned the area around the Middle Courtyard in order to add the Astronomy Tower to the Castle for the film adaptation of Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, this courtyard was removed. It could still be seen, however, in the video game adaptation.
