The wand of Cedric Diggory was 12¼" ash wood, with a unicorn hair core. It was made by Ollivander, who described it as "pleasantly springy" during the wand-weighing ceremony of the Triwizard Tournament, in which Cedric was a champion. Ollivander considered the hair comprising its core to be from a particularly fine male unicorn, which was seventeen hands high and nearly gored Ollivander with its horn after he plucked the hair from its tail. Cedric looked after his wand, and polished it regularly [1]
