Etymology[]
"Cave inimicum" is a Latin phrase meaning "beware of the enemy".
Behind the scenes[]
- Based on the etymology alone, this spell would appear to warn of approaching enemies, similar to the Caterwauling Charm or Intruder Charm.
- This spell may be similar to Repello Inimicum due to both spells sharing similar etymology, though Repello Inimicum is used to repel enemies instead of keeping the caster hidden from them.
Appearances[]
- Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows (First appearance)
- Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery
