Cattermole is the surname of a wizarding family with both magical and Muggle heritage.
During the Second Wizarding War, when Lord Voldemort was in control of the Ministry of Magic, the Cattermoles came under scrutiny because Mary Cattermole is a Muggle-bornwitch. Harry Potter, Hermione Granger, and Ron Weasley freed her from the Muggle-Born Registration Commission and advised the Cattermoles to flee the country while the Death Eaters were in power.[1] It is unknown if they took this advice.
