This category is really large. Maybe we should divide it into Wizards and Witches to be more specific.--Lord Opeth 18:03, 1 June 2008 (UTC)

I actually like it the way it is. It's an easy way to see every magical person. -- Freakatone Talk 18:23, 1 June 2008 (UTC)
No need to split it into Wizards and Witches - we have Category:Males and Category:Females. - Cavalier One(Wizarding Wireless Network) 07:05, 2 June 2008 (UTC)
I agree with Cavalier One. We already have two categories which divide characters based on gender. If we wanted to be more gender neutral, though, I suppose could change "Wizards" to "Magi" — but that isn't canonical terminology. -Starstuff 12:02, 3 June 2008 (UTC)
Me Potter Fan and I started... I got A-E done and Me Potter Fan got M-N. But, I've gotta go now, can anyone else help? -- Freakatone Talk 12:23, 16 July 2008 (UTC)

Why has this been split? As stated, we already have categories for gender, so it seems pointless to split this one. And Magi is not a canonical term, and will be deleted. - Cavalier One(Wizarding Wireless Network) 12:45, 16 July 2008 (UTC)

Oh, shoot! I misread it as "No, we need to split it". *freakatone smacks himself in the head at his own stupidity*! Ack! all that wasted time :(... what a dumb thing to do..... :( -- Freakatone Talk 13:21, 16 July 2008 (UTC)
I think that the name should at least be changed to Witches and Wizards because Wizards is male. Me_Potter_Fan (Talk) 14:21, 16 July 2008 (UTC)
Yeah, good idea. Maybe DarkJedi could run his bot and do that? -- Freakatone Talk 15:07, 16 July 2008 (UTC)
Yes, this is ridicolously long. It should be split. TurboGolf

Could it be renamed because it would be more accomadating to Withces. Kerry Stapleton (talk)

Coudln't the category just be renamed "Wizardkind", the name the article about wizards and witches already uses? --Lukas Exemplar (talk) 00:07, November 15, 2016 (UTC)

Capitalisation of wizard?

I didn't know "wizard" was capitalised in the books? Lukas Exemplar (talk) 00:04, November 15, 2016 (UTC)

Too vague

This category is too generic. Adding pages directly to it will make it really large. There is no need to that if pages are already included in subcategories e.g. if a page is already in Category:Hogwarts students, there is no need to include here too since all Hogwarts students are wizards. So I suggest removing articles added directly to it, unless there is really very few information about the wizard. - Esbonl (talk) 01:18, June 19, 2018 (UTC)
